I was born at Holmes Regional in the early '80s and spent the first 15 years of my life living in Indialantic before moving south, then north, then returning home to Brevard in late 2017. I brought with me the coolest person I know, my wife, Jessie (currently a full-time Mom and previously co-owner/operator of an award-winning independent shop in Poncey Highlands, Delta flight attendant, hotel coordinator in Buckhead and Manhattan, and college radio DJ at Georgia State's Album 88); our little wild man, Trevor (born August 2017); and our two rescue dogs (Murphy & Panola).
Our home in Atlanta was on the southeast side of town in the Summerhill neighborhood (between Grant Park and old Turner Field). We recently settled in Satellite Beach and are excited to explore. Trevor & Jessie are yoga and bridge-walking enthusiasts. Panola & I like to run. I occasionally skateboard badly, as well, and recently took up SUPing. Murphy likes to chill.
We have been blown away by the awesome natural beauty and wildlife since moving to Florida. However, we have also been taken aback by the environmental challenges the area (the Lagoon, in particular) is facing. We are looking to do anything we can to help. Additionally, we are passionate about rescuing animals and fighting childhood hunger.
My formal education includes a BA in History from Duke University, completion of the Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth College, and a JD from the University of Georgia. I initially thought I would come right back home after law school, but I ended up staying in the Peach State for about a decade longer than expected, working first at a firm in Downtown Atlanta and then as a prosecutor handling jury trials on everything from traffic tickets to murders (and most things in between). I am currently building my local practice focused on business, estate, and property matters at a boutique firm with my father, who has been serving clients in Brevard since 1978.
