Prior to joining the BAC team, Amar was with Harris Corporation where he began as a test engineer in 2004.  During his eight years at Harris, he earned positions of increasing responsibility with his most recent leadership role as program manager of F35, the largest avionics program to date at the Melbourne-based communications and information technology firm.  Amar holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and an MBA from the University of Florida.  He is an avid rock climber whose love of the sport also inspired him to serve as a director of RockOn, a local nonprofit whose mission is to foster independence through rock climbing for kids with disabilities.  Amar is an active member in the local business community, serving on the Board of WeVenture and the Operations Committee of CareerSource Brevard. Amar is also on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (FARF) and serves on its Finance Committee, and is a member of RESPECT of Florida’s Oversight Committee. He is a 2015 recipient of LEAD Brevard’s “4 Under 40” award. Of his various accomplishments, however, Amar is most proud of his family: wife, Megan, and two children, Layla and Luca.
